To set goals correctly you need to have a couple of steps.
They have to be goals you have a strong desire for.
You can not just set a goal and not think about for a day.
I have read a couple of books about accomplishing goals.
One of the books is call "Think and Grow Rich" This book was written after interviewing successful people and finding a common thread. I have read it over and over and I will be reading it again.
What I got out of it the first time was the important in setting goals and making affirmations for success.
Affirmations create a burning desire to meet your goals. It is amazing how you change. For example I was real tired one night and part of completing my goals was to call a couple of people before I end my night. Well I have been reading my affirmations all that week and that day. I decided that I would not make the calls. Although it was on my mind almost bugging me. The next thing I new I was dialing the phone to make the calls. I found that amazing.
After some time I did not meet the success I thought I would achieve. I started to think that this book and its principles was not for me some how.
Then I read Jack Canfield The Success Principles. I felt like he was talking to me. That everyone can have the success they want. I started going over his plan.
The I read Secret the Power by Rhonda Byrne. And read in the book that she made a movie called The Secret. Thats when it hit me. After watching that movie. I found out what I was doing wrong.
I always thought about my debt worrying about it. Thinking what I can do to get out.
This is where I learned that what you think and feel you become.
So to set goals you need specific steps:
- Take 100% responsibility for your self
- Decide what you really want
- Set you goal with a date
- Have affirmations that make you feel excited.
- Must be in present tense
I just wanted to share my opinion.
